Bright Futures Begin Here
Bright Eyes Therapy helps empower children to excel in education, sports, and daily life through personalized functional vision rehabilitation and occupational therapy services.
At Bright Eyes Therapy, we provide specialized outpatient pediatric occupational therapy by developing visual motor and visual perceptual skills to help children improve learning, handwriting, coordination, daily living skills, and sports performance. Through individualized and play-based therapy, we help children strengthen the connection between what they see and how they move, building confidence and success at home, in school, and in everyday activities.
The Science of Sight
We understand that effective vision is more than just 20/20 eyesight. Our specialized functional vision rehabilitation focuses on how the brain and eyes work together to process information. By addressing underlying visual-motor and perceptual challenges, we empower children to gain confidence in the classroom, improve their coordination in sports, and thrive in daily tasks through bright, engaging discoveries.
Visual Skills Impact Everyday Function
Children rely on visual processing and visual motor skills throughout the day for activities such as:
Reading and following words across a page
Handwriting and coping from board
Eye-hand coordination during sports and play
Attention and visual focus in classroom
Balance, coordination and body awareness
Completing dressing and and fine motor tasks
Navigating busy visual environments at school and in the community
Signs a Child May Benefit From OT
Loses their place while reading

Not keeping up with peers academically/athletically
Have poor handwriting and spacing
Struggle with catching/throwing a ball

Hi, I'm Kaitlyn, founder of Bright Eyes Therapy, LLC. I am an occupational therapist with over 12 years of experience working in a variety of medical and school-based settings. Originally from Canada, I now live in Erie with my husband and our two children. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy running, coaching swimming, and spending time with my kids. My goal is to improve each child's visual system through functional, play-based occupational therapy that supports success in school, sports, play and daily activities. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to feel confident, capable and prepared for a bright future. I founded Bright Eyes Therapy to create a supportive and encouraging environment where children can grow, develop, and reach their full potential.
